Hello my darlings!

I had the best weekend at Coachella! My husband, Israel, was in Nigeria, Africa this past week for a concert… And it felt like the rest of the world was in Palm Springs! LOL. So, when my fellow Empire Girl, Julissa Bermudez, suggested going to Coachella… We decided to turn it into a full-blown GIRLS TRIP!  At first, I was a little hesitant for a few reasons… the main one being that I hate BIG CROWDS & I can easily become claustrophobic! It was important for me to get to enjoy the festivities without having a panic attack & not feeling too worn out for work on Monday.

And guess what?! We did just that! We did Coachella my way! Grown, Chic & Fun! We tried to keep it simple!

Below is a little recap & some of my suggestions for doing Coachella right! There’s still this weekend!

What to pack?

Polaroid Camera & Extra Film that you can find online at Urban Outfitters.

Camera – I use the Sony Alpha a5100 Mirrorless Camera with a 16-50Mm Lens

There are sooooo many bomb photo opportunities at Coachella. From just the beauty of traveling to Palm Springs through the desert to the stunning palm trees mountains, the Coachella Ferris wheel & other Cool art installations at the festival! Plus! you’re definitely gonna wanna capture your cute outfits as well! Ha.

Sunscreen & More Sunscreen: I love the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 30!

It’s perfect for the dry desert leaving your face moisturized all day long.

And for the body… a bit of a splurge, but its worth it! The Dior Bronze Beautifying Protective Milky Mist Sublime Glow with SPF 30.

Hats: My favorite hats are the Janessa Leon straw hats, super fashionable & chic!

Flats: (Disclaimer: I always wear heels… its a skill. But, I don’t recommend it.) Soludos has super cute flats that are lightweight and extremely comfortable. I’d also recommend a nice combat boot from Steve Madden.

Sunglasses: I love QUAY sunnies, they have a large selection & you can pair them with any outfit.

Jean Shorts: Blue denims are a MUST! Denim plays a major role in creating outfits that are worthy of street style photography.

REVOLVE has a large selection of denim shorts!

Here’s What I Wore:

For my first look, I was Zara’d out. I paired a white skinny flare jean with a striped halterneck top and my Janessa Leon straw hat and my nude YSL.

And for my second look, it was only appropriate to rock my Tularosa rocky dress from REVOLVE at REVOLVE. LOL

And for my final look, I paired a MISA cream dress with flared sleeves and my Serpui Basket Bag.

My Favorite Looks from Coachella:

Use some of my favorite looks as your #OOTD Inspo!

I love the look of gold necklaces and body chains paired with a white tee and blue denims. Bella Hadid and Joan Smalls rocked this look effortlessly!

Although the crochet look is a big hit during festival season, this year it was more prominent than ever. I LOVED Jasmine Sander’s crochet ensemble with the added adornments. Another one of favorite looks was my fellow Empire Girl, Julissa Bermudez’s, crochet rainbow top with layered accessories!

Bring as much as color as possible to the desert!

My girls, Julissa Bermudez and Luba Chervinsky, really invoked the vibes of summer in their outfits.

Julissa combined a beautiful blue fringe dress from NBD with combat boots.

And Luba is glowing in her subdued yellow outfit rocking a Love Wave Top with House of Harlow pants. Yellow is the new pink this season.

Jasmine Sanders and Teyana Taylor never fail to show up and show out!

I love Teyana’s sporty chic look, it’s super important to dress comfortably while dancing the weekend away.

And Jasmine aka Golden Barbie looks FIRE in her flame skirt and oversized sweatshirt!

‘Chella is all about making a statement, whether you do it with your outfits or your HAIR. I love the fun wigs Kylie Jenner always pulls off!

How To Get There?

  • Drive at night (no traffic)

We left at 10 p.m and arrived at exactly midnight! It was a perfect 2 hour drive. We avoided all the festival traffic. You can also do the same by leaving at the crack of dawn (be sure to tell your hotel or airbnb what time you’re arriving ie: request early check in or tell them you’re arriving late so that they don’t mark you as a no show & give your room away!)

  • Split the cost of a Sprinter Van with your friends

Where To Stay?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hotel The Parker!

You can find incredible deals using the apps or HotelTonight.

HotelTonight is the ultimate way to book a same-night hotel stay via your mobile device. It offers some of the best pricing for last minute hotel details.  It’s perfect for business travelers, leisure travelers and spontaneous travelers like myself.

AirBnB also has great deals but make sure you check the distance from the venue!

What To Do?

Bootsy Bellows Pool Party!

Coachella Ferris Wheel

Normas for Breakfast

Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge for Lunch
